Hanoi Old Quarter welcomes the tenth Vietnam Heritage Day

According to information from the Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board, many unique cultural and artistic activities to introduce and honor Vietnamese cultural heritage will be held continuously from now until November 23, 2014 at many locations in the Old Quarter.

Specifically, at Kim Ngan communal house (42-44 Hang Bac), a free ca tru performance program will be held on the evenings of November 20 and 22, 2014.

Also here, the photo exhibition “Old Hanoi” will take place from November 21 to December 31. The value of Hanoi’s tangible and intangible cultural heritages is vividly shown through the lenses of photographers.

The unique features of Hanoi cuisine, the quiet beauty of Hanoi streets in early winter… are also clearly and centrally displayed in the works on display this time.

In addition, the exhibition “Yem - The beauty of Vietnamese costumes” will last from 3pm on November 20 to December 31, 2014 at Dong Lac communal house (38 Hang Dao, Hanoi). The exhibition aims to introduce to the public (especially the younger generation and international tourists) one of the unique ancient costumes in the treasure trove of traditional Vietnamese costumes.

The series of events is organized to introduce to the public the value of cultural heritages; thereby, contributing to raising community awareness in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnam.

This is an activity to celebrate the tenth Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2014).
