Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Department of Transport was arrested on the gambling mat
Ha Tinh City police raided the house of a construction company director and discovered a gambling case, including the Deputy Director of the Ha Tinh Province Department of Transport.
At around 10:30 a.m. on July 19, the Social Order Investigation Police Team of Ha Tinh City Police (Ha Tinh Province) caught four people gambling, including the Deputy Director of the Ha Tinh Province Department of Transport and a director of a construction company.
The identities of these four people were specifically identified as: Nguyen Tran (born in 1954 - Deputy Director of the Department of Transport of Ha Tinh province); Tran Phi Long (born in 1967 - officer of the Department of Transport of Ha Tinh), Tran Phi Duoc (born in 1954 - Director of Ha Tinh Road Construction Management Joint Stock Company) and Tran Van Suu (born in 1965 - subordinate of Mr. Duoc).
People arrested in gambling case
At the scene, the authorities seized a deck of playing cards, 4 million VND on a silver table, and searched the person and seized more than 5 million VND. Initial information from these people was that the game was called Phom, with each round worth 250,000 VND.
The case is under further investigation.
A representative of the Department of Transport of Ha Tinh province also said that they are currently waiting for the conclusion from the police to decide how to handle Mr. Tran, because in addition to gambling in violation of the law, Mr. Tran also played during working hours.
