Lao Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciates Vietnam's rubber project

The company has created jobs for more than 1,000 local Lao workers with an average salary of 200 USD/month.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory, today (May 7), in Mouangphin district, Savanakhet province, the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and Quasa-Geruco Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to start the first rubber latex exploitation. Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavath, Chairman of the Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Sub-Committee attended.

Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavath awarded the Second Class Labor Medal of the Lao Party and State to Vietnam Rubber Company.

This is part of the 10,000-hectare project that Quasa-Geruco Joint Stock Company is implementing in Savanakhet province (Central Laos). Congratulating the results of the projects of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group implemented in Savanakhet province, Deputy Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Somsavad Lengsavath emphasized: "On behalf of the Lao government and Savanakhet province, I would like to sincerely thank the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group for implementing the agreement of the leaders of the two countries, investing in Savanakhet province and other provinces of Laos. Over the past 7 years, I have witnessed the results of your efforts. Today, your efforts have become a reality."

The Lao Deputy Prime Minister assessed that, in addition to effective investment, Quasa-Geruco Company also implemented well social security policies in the project area such as electricity, road construction, well drilling, spillway construction, pagoda construction and repair, school construction and other welfare activities with a total amount of over 2.3 billion VND.

In addition, the Company also organizes technical training for workers in Laos, creating jobs for more than 1,000 local Lao workers with an average salary of 200 USD/month.

Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavath thanked and appreciated the effective operations of Quasa-Geruco Joint Stock Company over the past 7 years, emphasizing that the Company has contributed to changing the face of the land that has suffered many consequences of war and considered this a historic day for Savanakhet province in the fight against hunger and poverty, contributing to environmental protection and sustainable economic development.
