On behalf of the Prime Minister, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh expressed his pleasure to receive the delegation of revolutionary contributors from Nghe An province on the occasion of the delegation's visit to Hanoi and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: In the history of building and defending the country of our people, Nghe An province has always played an important role in politics, military, economy and culture. Especially, in the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, the war to protect the Fatherland and fulfill international obligations, compatriots and people in all regions of the country have suffered many sacrifices and huge losses, including the great contributions and sacrifices of generations of Nghe An people.
Affirming that the Party and the State always remember the merits and have preferential policies for people with meritorious services, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh said that up to now, policies for people with meritorious services have received more and more attention, such as policies on housing support; one-time subsidies or monthly subsidies and allowances; health insurance cards; health care; support equipment and orthopedic devices; death benefits, child support; funeral expenses; priority in education - training, vocational training and employment; land and credit for production development. In addition, we also regularly organize movements to "repay gratitude" to people with meritorious services and policy families.
“However, no matter how much we do, it is not enough to repay the kindness of our predecessors. The entire political system must increase awareness, be responsible and do its best to care for the lives of people with meritorious services and families with preferential policies to improve their lives,” the First Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

The policy for people with meritorious services is continuing to be improved to partly compensate for difficulties and show gratitude to people with meritorious services to the revolution. The Secretariat issued Directive No. 14/CT-BBT dated July 19, 2017 on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over people with meritorious services to the revolution. The Government is preparing a Project to submit to the National Assembly a draft Ordinance amending the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for People with Meritorious Services, according to which the regime, policies and incentives for people with meritorious services are increasingly improved.
On this occasion, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister also commended the efforts of the Party Committee and the government of Nghe An province in paying attention to and taking care of the implementation of policies for people with meritorious services, deeply demonstrating the tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking" of our nation and suggested that the province continue to promote and do better this meaningful work, proactively use the local budget and mobilize social resources to create better living conditions for people with meritorious services and policy families.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the people with merit in Nghe An province will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition and the will of communist soldiers, set a good example for the younger generation, first of all, mobilize their families and educate their children to properly implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.
