Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue visited and inspected a number of financial units in Nghe An province.

After listening to reports on the operations of the units: Department of Finance, Nghe An Tax Department, Nghe An State Treasury, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged and commended the results achieved in 2018. Although it was the New Year holiday, leaders, officers and civil servants of the units were always on duty and worked to carry out tasks related to financial work.

As of late afternoon on December 31, Nghe An's budget revenue in 2018 reached VND13,760 billion. Noting the above results, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue also assessed Nghe An as the 5th locality nationwide in terms of revenue from enterprises.

At the Department of Finance, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue requested to thoroughly and thoroughly grasp the Politburo's Resolution on policies and solutions for restructuring the state budget and managing public debt to ensure a safe and sustainable national financial system.

Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue also suggested that the Finance sector focus on solutions to expand and develop budget revenue sources such as developing small and medium enterprises and creating favorable conditions for economic sectors to operate.

Regarding budget expenditures, the sector needs to advise the province to implement solutions to reduce regular expenditures such as tightening expenditures on ceremonies, receptions, conferences, public procurement, etc. At the same time, the province needs to continue to arrange public service units, rearrange administrative units to create conditions to reduce regular expenditures and increase development investment expenditures.

Regarding budget expenditure, the Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the Finance sector should advise on allocating spending sources for non-construction items such as supporting cooperative development funds, or using part of the budget revenue entrusted through the Development Bank for lending to the poor. The Finance and Planning and Investment sectors should also coordinate with each other to advise the province on budget allocation to ensure efficiency and avoid dispersion.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue also requested the Finance sector to continue to strengthen the application of information technology, carry out administrative reform well; have internal consensus, promote grassroots democracy; implement good price management; accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital from the beginning of the year...

At the Nghe An Tax Department, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue suggested closely following Resolutions 01 and 02 of the Government to develop solutions to continue effectively implementing tasks in 2019.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister also requested the industry to continue expanding the tax base, preventing tax base erosion and tax fraud; providing the province with the status and "health" of enterprises, contributing with the province to support enterprises to operate effectively, contributing to maintaining and creating sustainable revenue sources.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue also requested the Tax Department to continue to carry out administrative reform and modernize the tax sector; reorganize the apparatus, especially reducing from 21 branches to 10 affiliated branches to ensure streamlining and improve operational efficiency, but the implementation process must also ensure stability.

Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue also requested the provincial Tax sector to continue to unite, agree, and proactively advise local Party committees and authorities to do a good job of protecting internal politics; promote grassroots democracy, implement common policies of the Finance and Tax sectors and will complete their tasks more excellently in 2019.

Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue also visited and listened to a work report at the State Treasury of Nghe An province; thereby acknowledging the provincial Treasury in terms of work such as budget collection, control of state budget expenditures, etc.

Emphasizing that Nghe An is a province with a large population, large area, and large transaction volume through the State Treasury, the sector has focused on good implementation, especially the human resources expenditure has responded promptly; and implemented social policies well.

Regarding the tasks in 2019, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue requested the Nghe An State Treasury to continue promoting and implementing tasks in all aspects of work, including coordinating with related sectors such as Finance, Planning and Investment to promote public investment disbursement; at the same time, the sector continues to do a good job of restructuring the apparatus, streamlining the payroll, etc.
