US Vice President: Trump took a risk when meeting Putin
US Vice President Mike Pence said that US President Donald Trump is willing to take political risks ahead of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, ABC News reported.

"This week, the American people saw the president return from a successful trip abroad. He met with European allies, even the Russian president. In his words, he chose to risk politics for peace, rather than risk threatening the world for political gain," Pence said.
The first full meeting between Putin and Trump took place on July 16 in Helsinki. The presidents first spoke face-to-face for more than two hours, followed by an extended lunch with the Russian and American delegations, and then answered questions from journalists. After the meeting, the leaders expressed interest in improving relations between the two countries.
