Deputy Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission Nguyen Minh Tam appointed as Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos

General Secretary and President To Lam congratulated Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam on being honored by the Party and State to be entrusted with the important responsibility of being Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos.

The General Secretary and President stated that Vietnam and Laos are two neighboring countries with a close, special, and close relationship; they play an important role and position in Vietnam's security and development, and are also a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy.

The great friendship between Vietnam and Laos was built, nurtured and developed by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, and is a valuable asset of the two peoples.

According to the General Secretary and President, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam's assignment as Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos demonstrates the Party and State's appreciation and trust in his capacity, qualifications and qualities.

The General Secretary and President believes that with his extensive experience in foreign affairs, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam will promote the diplomatic tradition of his ancestors, make good use of the Ho Chi Minh era's foreign affairs and diplomacy school as well as the spirit of "helping friends is helping yourself", and continue to make efforts to contribute to the continuous consolidation and cultivation of Vietnam - Laos relations...

The General Secretary and President asked Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam to continuously train his political qualities, cultivate himself, maintain the image of a foreign affairs officer; uphold the spirit of solidarity, set an example, discipline at our Embassy in Laos as well as at our other representative agencies in Laos.

Quoting President Ho Chi Minh's teaching that "A career is made by unity", the General Secretary and President said that to achieve unity, discipline must be strict, the collective must be democratic and fair, and great attention must be paid to promoting the exemplary spirit of the leader.

General Secretary and President To Lam asked Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam to continue to promote the work of grasping the situation, researching, forecasting, and advising on both strategy and tactics not only for Vietnam, to contribute to making the relationship between the two countries increasingly better, closer, and more cohesive, especially in the context of increasingly complicated developments in the world and the region.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam needs to promote his role as Head of the representative agency, as a bridge to help connect and develop the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam, in terms of politics - diplomacy, economics - trade, culture, tourism... to encourage large and prestigious Vietnamese enterprises to invest in Laos, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the neighboring country; well organize foreign affairs activities between the two countries...

Speaking at the ceremony to accept his duties, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam said that he will continue to work and devote himself to the common interests, constantly learn, cultivate, be impartial, not afraid of difficulties, strive to practice, unite with the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, continue the achievements of previous ambassadors, and contribute to the common achievements of the country.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam affirmed that he will closely follow the foreign policy to synchronously and effectively implement our foreign affairs activities in Laos; strengthen research and strategic advice for Party and State leaders in relations with Laos; promote the work of building the diplomatic sector, in which, he will promote the highest spirit of dedication to serving the Party, the Fatherland, serving the people, serving ministries, branches, localities and enterprises, implementing foreign affairs and socio-economic development.

The appointed Ambassador pledged to make efforts to develop the Vietnam - Laos relationship in depth and effectively, in which political relations are the core and overall orientation of the relationship between the two countries.
