Coordinate to protect national security and maintain social order

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 14, under the chairmanship of Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty - Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security held a conference on the implementation of Decree 77 of the Government on coordination in protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety.

Senior Lieutenant General Dang Van Hieu - Permanent Deputy Minister of Public Security co-chaired the conference. At Nghe An bridge, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired.

In 2014, the Military and Police forces effectively coordinated in crime prevention; defense zone drills, national defense education, military recruitment, etc. At the same time, they proactively and actively coordinated information exchange, agreed on assessments and advised Party and State leaders on the correct direction in firmly protecting national sovereignty, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and avoiding unexpected situations.

At the conference, the two sides agreed on the direction of coordination in 2015. Including continuing to implement Decree 77; Joint Circular No. 07; strengthening inter-sectoral supervision and inspection of the implementation of Decree No. 77 of the Government for grassroots units; developing and implementing well plans and schemes to ensure political security, social order and safety, and protecting safety during holidays, Tet, and important political events; coordinating to resolve well complicated cases of security and order at the grassroots level; strengthening coordination in fighting and suppressing all types of crimes, managing weapons and explosives, improving the effectiveness of information exchange, verification and proactive response when situations arise.
