(Baonghean.vn) - On December 25, the Nghe An Provincial Military Party Committee held a year-end conference to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of leadership in implementing local defense and military tasks in 2014. Attending the conference were Colonel Nguyen Duc Hoa - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 4; Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee chaired the conference.

At the conference, delegates heard the Resolution of the Military Region Party Committee on leading national defense and military tasks in 2015 and approved the draft Resolution of the Provincial Military Party Committee on leading the implementation of local national defense and military tasks in 2015.

In 2014, the Provincial Military Party Committee closely followed the political tasks of the armed forces, comprehensively deployed all aspects of work, specifically: organized the recruitment work closely, safely, and in accordance with the law, achieving 100% of the target; advised the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to visit and give gifts to policy beneficiaries and military units stationed in the area. Organized the ceremony to welcome martyrs' remains collected from Laos for burial at the Martyrs' Cemetery and organized the handover of remains with names and hometowns to localities according to plan. Well implemented the plan to help poor communes in western Nghe An, organized the mobilization of forces and vehicles of all kinds to participate in forest fire prevention, storms and floods, and timely and effective rescue.

The units also coordinated with the forces and functional agencies to grasp and accurately forecast the situation and developments of incidents occurring in the area, promptly advised and proposed the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to promptly handle them in accordance with the principles and regulations of the law, not allowing bad guys to take advantage of and incite. The leaders and directed the districts to organize one-sided command and staff exercises at two levels, using a part of live troops and information technology, and defensive exercises on two islands with live ammunition of all types of firepower in the establishment; fostered national defense and security knowledge for the subjects according to the plan to ensure quality; directed the leaders to strictly maintain the combat readiness regime and training work...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged the results that the Provincial Military Party Committee had achieved in 2014. At the same time, he emphasized that in 2015, the Party Committee needs to focus on leading the implementation of combat readiness training, directing districts to conduct drills closely to the unit and local situation; strictly manage the ideological situation and discipline of officers and soldiers; effectively carry out combat readiness work and coordinate with forces in performing local defense and military tasks, and well organize party congresses at all levels towards the Provincial Military Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term, towards the 12th National Party Congress.

Also at the conference, authorized by the Central Inspection Commission, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee and Colonel Ha Tan Tien - Commander of the Provincial Military Command awarded commemorative medals for the Party's inspection career to 10 comrades with many outstanding achievements in the Party's inspection career.
