The conference evaluated the results of fire prevention and control work in border areas in 2012, although some results were achieved, the situation was still complicated. In 2012, there were only 3 border forest fires, but the rescue work was extremely difficult and caused great damage, mainly due to the lack of coordination between related parties.
To prevent and limit forest fires in border areas, the conference agreed to promote the responsibility of forest owners, specialized agencies and district and commune authorities in implementing well 5 main tasks, focusing on strengthening prevention work.
