Coordinate to handle sand and gravel mining in La and Lam rivers

(Baonghean.vn) -On July 8, 2015, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 4611/UBND-TN on handling the situation of sand and gravel exploitation in the La and Lam River areas. The content of the dispatch is as follows:

To: - Provincial Police; Nam Dan District People's Committee; Hung Nguyen District People's Committee.

On June 26, 2015, the People's Committees of the provinces received Official Dispatch No. 3128/UBND-NL2 of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province on the request for coordination in handling illegal mineral exploitation. Based on the current situation of sand and gravel exploitation and transportation in the districts of Nam Dan and Hung Nguyen and the plan to implement Directive No. 03/CT-TTg dated March 30, 2015 of the Prime Minister of Nghe An Provincial Police in Official Dispatch No. 147/KH-CAT-PC49 dated July 1, 2015,

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong commented as follows:

The provincial police shall preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of Hung Nguyen and Nam Dan districts to urgently take measures to inspect and strictly handle illegal sand and gravel mining activities; sand and gravel transportation activities in the Lam and La rivers without invoices, documents, and of unknown origin. Proactively coordinate with the Ha Tinh provincial police to handle violations in mineral exploitation activities in areas bordering Ha Tinh province and advise and propose to the provincial People's Committee to take measures to rectify state management of mineral exploitation activities in the province according to its authority.

Upon receiving this dispatch, the Provincial Police Director and the chairmen of Nam Dan and Hung Nguyen districts are requested to strictly implement it.
