Dien Chau Department of Education and Training: Workshop on music and fine arts

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 21, the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district organized a district-level professional workshop on music and fine arts.

The workshop was attended by 150 teachers (53 music teachers, 55 art teachers and 42 administrators) from 42 primary schools in the district.

The workshop aims to improve the capacity of managers and teachers in directing and implementing the gradual shift from teaching to educational activities for music and fine arts subjects; promote students' positivity, self-awareness, initiative, thinking and creativity, use teaching methods appropriate to the characteristics of the subject, develop students' skills, streamline theory...

Many practical meanings from the seminar

Participating in the workshop, teachers and staff were able to attend two experimental lessons (one music lesson and one art lesson), from which they gained experience for their lessons. In addition, the schools also pointed out the difficulties, advantages and solutions when gradually converting from teaching to educational activities for the two subjects of Art and Music. At the same time, the schools agreed on the use of documents and distribution of programs, methods, forms of organizing teaching activities; ways of assessing students, and ways of recording records.

Mr. Mai Ngoc Long - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district said that based on the guidance documents of the Department of Education and Training and the tasks of the 2014 - 2015 school year at the primary level, the department has consulted and developed a plan and program for the workshop. Previously, the department had organized a seminar on organizing the transition from teaching to educational activities.

Sharing about the significance of the workshop, teacher Bui Sy Cuong - Principal of Dien Chau Town Primary School said: Through the workshop contents, subject teachers as well as management staff improved their expertise, especially methods and forms for new tasks according to the direction of all levels. From there, contributing to improving the quality of teaching for the two subjects of Music and Fine Arts in primary schools of the district.
