Preventing stroke in the elderly in the summer
According to Professor Pham Gia Khai - Chairman of the Vietnam Cardiovascular Association, the rate of patients dying from cerebral stroke (ĐQN) in June and July is often higher than other times of the year, especially in the elderly. According to Professor Pham Gia Khai - Chairman of the Vietnam Cardiovascular Association, the rate of patients dying from cerebral stroke (ĐQN) in June and July is often higher than other times of the year, especially in the elderly. One of the causes of this condition is due to the weather being too hot.
In the elderly, the resistance and function of the body's organs, including the nervous system, have significantly decreased. The heat in the summer makes the elderly susceptible to dehydration and electrolyte loss, the coordination function of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system is also affected, causing insufficient blood supply to the brain and many organs. Moreover, the elderly often suffer from diseases that are at risk of stroke such as high blood pressure, diabetes, dyslipidemia, obesity, etc. These are the causes that easily cause stroke in the elderly in the summer.
There are two types of stroke: cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage. The warning signs of stroke are often sudden severe headache, decreased vision, difficulty speaking, weakness or paralysis of one arm or leg, etc. The disease occurs quickly and leaves serious consequences if not treated promptly such as coma, paralysis, and even death.
Depending on the type of diabetes, the doctor will have a treatment plan for the patient. Commonly used drugs include: antiplatelet drugs, anticoagulants, blood pressure stabilizers, etc. However, these drugs can cause side effects, affecting the patient's health, so they need to be closely monitored by a doctor.
Faced with difficulties in preventing and treating stroke, the method currently being applied by many doctors and patients is to use products of natural origin, which do not cause side effects when used for a long time. A typical example of this product line is the functional food Nattospes. The product's main ingredient is the enzyme nattokinase - extracted from fermented soybeans, which helps reduce blood viscosity and stickiness, prevent and break up blood clots - the main cause of stroke. Nattospes has the effect of preventing stroke (especially in the elderly in the summer) and supporting treatment, promoting recovery after a stroke, and preventing recurrence.
To prevent DQN in the summer, in addition to maintaining the use of Nattospes, the elderly should note: drink water regularly, eat enough nutrients, control blood pressure regularly, do not bathe in cold water, avoid exercise in hot weather...
Nattospes' reputation has been affirmed:
1. Research on the effects of Nattospes on stroke patients at Military Hospital 103 completed in 2008 by Master, Doctor Nguyen Chi Tue showed that: Nattospes product has the effect of reducing blood clotting, improving muscle strength and improving sequelae.
2. Research on the effects of Nattospes on stroke patients at the 108 Central Military Hospital completed in 2008 by Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thong showed that: Nattospes is as effective as aspirin (first-line drug in the treatment of stroke), preventing stroke: improving, restoring cognitive and motor abilities, and reintegrating patients into society.
3. Research on the effects of Nattospes on patients with diabetes at Bach Mai Hospital completed in 2009 by Dr. Nguyen Cong Doanh showed that: Clinically as well as in preventing recurrence, Nattospes has effects equivalent to aspirin and does not cause side effects.
