At the workshop, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha said: In fact, over the past time, our Party and State have always thoroughly grasped and had unity from awareness to action in ensuring the right of women to participate in politics; improving the effectiveness of state management agencies on gender equality; strengthening inter-sectoral coordination mechanisms to address gender equality issues and for the advancement of women; improving the quality of organization and operation of the Women's Union at all levels, promoting the role of the National Assembly's Committee in charge of gender equality... And we have achieved remarkable results in the work of female cadres in the new situation.

The Deputy Minister expressed: “I strongly agree with the province’s approach when the policy of planning cadres always ensures the structure. Including the structure of young women and ethnic minorities; in case the structure is not enough, it will be left blank, when the criteria are met, it will be added; this creates responsibility and participation of all levels and sectors”.

According to the report of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh: In Nghe An, the goals and targets on Gender Equality and Women's Advancement have been implemented promptly and effectively.

To date, 18/24 gender equality targets have been achieved and exceeded. Most female cadres, when assigned leadership and management tasks, are politically steadfast, maintain moral qualities, are dynamic and creative, promote their responsible roles, and ensure high work efficiency. Female cadres all balance family and social work.

Female cadres need to promote their capacity and affirm their position.

According to the Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs: From a local survey, in recent times, besides the achieved results, the proportion of women participating in management and leadership work in the political system in Nghe An is still small and low, lacking stability and sustainability, not ensuring the target of the proportion of female cadres according to the Central regulations.

In fact, in recent years, the dissemination of legal policies on gender equality and VSTBPN has not been regular; the proportion of women participating in leadership and management in the province is not commensurate with the potential and development of women; Some female cadres have not kept up with the requirements of rapid development and deep integration of society and the country.

According to comrade Le Hong Vinh, there are still prejudices and barriers in improving education, communication, and sharing family work, which deeply affect the development of female cadres.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports stated: In the leadership career of women, the effect of their inspiring power always comes from the radiance of their intelligence, soul, and loving heart. Therefore, in order for women to develop their intelligence and capacity, it is necessary to train them in the right direction, and trust them with the important responsibilities that they can handle.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha said: The comprehensive picture of training and promoting female cadres in Nghe An is worth noting. In order to have a team of female cadres who can promote their capacity and qualities, contributing to many important achievements in socio-economic development, the province has had many breakthrough solutions.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha said: "Each local Party committee and government needs to perceive female cadre work as a task to liberate women; each organization and union must see the necessity of allowing women to participate in building and contributing to the development of society."

Comrade Nguyen Thi Ha hopes that in the coming time, Nghe An needs to have a training plan to provide female cadres with the opportunity to demonstrate their qualifications and abilities, and make more positive contributions to the province's innovation process; Strive to have 25% or more of female cadres participating in Party committees at all levels by 2020; the proportion of female National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels will reach 35% - 40%.

In the 2015-2020 term, the proportion of women in planning work is planned as follows: The Provincial Party Executive Committee has 26/132 comrades, accounting for 19.7%; The Provincial Party Standing Committee has 7/31 comrades, accounting for 22.6%; The leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors have 120/555 comrades, accounting for 17.7%.

Term 2020 - 2025: The Provincial Party Executive Committee has 24/123 comrades, accounting for 19.5%; The Provincial Party Standing Committee has 7/29 comrades, accounting for 24.1%. Provincial-level department, branch and sector leaders have 126/559 comrades, accounting for 22.5%; District-level key leaders have 179/1139, accounting for 15.7%.

The number of female cadres promoted and appointed at all levels and sectors is increasing. In the period 2015 - 2018, there were 51 female cadres promoted and appointed to positions managed by the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
