Women in Uncle Ho's homeland are "patriotic, creative, capable, and kind"
(Baonghean) -Today (October 13), in Vinh City, the 14th Congress of Women Delegates of Nghe An Province, term 2011-2016, took place. This is a congress expected to strive to successfully build women in Uncle Ho's homeland with the virtues of "Patriotism, creativity, industriousness, and kindness".
On the afternoon of October 12, the delegation attending the congress came to offer incense and flowers at the statue of Uncle Ho in Ho Chi Minh Square. Before his spirit, 245 delegates - the association's cadres and outstanding members in the whole province respectfully offered him a bouquet of flowers; reported to him the work, results, efforts and endeavors of the Association at all levels in the past term and silently promised him to complete the tasks set out in the new term.
Traveling a long distance from the mountainous commune of Luong Minh, Tuong Duong district to attend the congress, Ms. Cut Thi La was still bewildered. With the characteristics of a mountainous commune with many difficulties, the movement and work of the Association faced many limitations. In order to gather members to participate in the Association's work, she and the executive committee struggled to find ways to diversify the forms of branch activities such as: club activities, groups; encourage women to save, support each other in economic development; especially the activities of the model of preventing social evils, building members' families that do not violate the law. In the past term, the Women's Union of Luong Minh commune was assessed as an excellent strong unit in the movement and work of the Association. Ms. La shared: "It is a great honor to be sent to attend the provincial congress. Hopefully, through this congress, I will learn many good experiences from other units to apply to the movement and work of the Women's Union in the commune. At the same time, I also hope that all levels, sectors, and the Provincial Women's Union will share difficulties and remove obstacles for the Women's Union in mountainous communes, remote areas....".

Representing outstanding women in the field of production and business, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan (Director of Xuan Thuong Company Limited - Vinh City) expressed her wish: "In the past time, the Association at all levels has had many practical activities to support the development of female enterprises such as: opening training classes on "Gender and Business", establishing "Women's Business Club", "Women's Business Club" and praising outstanding female entrepreneurs... Hopefully, in the next term, the Association at all levels will need to expand activities to gather female entrepreneurs; increase activities to visit and learn new business models; support capital and knowledge for female entrepreneurs, have mechanisms to encourage female entrepreneurs to establish companies, factories, workshops... to create jobs for female members..."
Women in Uncle Ho's homeland are not only capable and kind, but they are also role models of "being good at national affairs", female leaders "taking the lead" in various sectors and organizations. Up to now, the whole province has 3 female deputies to the 13th National Assembly; the proportion of women participating in People's Councils at 3 levels accounts for 28%. Female cadres participating in leadership and management positions have all demonstrated a high spirit of responsibility and democracy in leadership and management, excellently completing assigned tasks. Currently, the whole province has 10 female PhDs; 206 female masters and specialist doctors; 27,165 women with university degrees. In the past 5 years, over 12,000 scientific works and initiatives undertaken by female cadres, civil servants and workers have been applied in practice; 20 women have been awarded certificates of merit for their creative scientific and technological work at the provincial level; nearly 15,000 women have been recognized as emulation fighters at all levels; Nearly 60,000 women have achieved the title "Good at public work, good at housework"... To achieve these results, in addition to the tireless efforts of the women themselves, it is necessary to have sharing from their families, support and encouragement from society. Ms. Hoang Thi Mai, a teacher at the Primary School (Van Son - Do Luong), who was honored to receive the "Female Creative Talent" award presented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, shared: "In the integration period, women, in addition to being "virtuous, beautiful, eloquent, virtuous", a good daughter-in-law and a good wife, must also be knowledgeable, have professional skills and have the need to assert themselves in their careers. To achieve high results at work, in addition to arranging family affairs scientifically, improving professional expertise, I also receive attention from the school, the trade union, the Women's Union of the commune and district... My wish, as well as that of female workers and civil servants, is to create an environment to strive; create opportunities to advance; and study to improve qualifications."
Hopefully, with the "8 Golden Words" virtues of women, along with the attention of all sectors and levels; especially with the enthusiasm and dynamism of the new term executive committee, emulation movements will be aroused, building the image of women in Uncle Ho's homeland to become increasingly beautiful.
