(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 6, officials and people of Hong Son ward held a ceremony to receive the Provincial Historical Relic Certificate for the Trieu Co Ancestral Tomb and Nguyen Viet Family Temple, according to Decision No. 4341/QD-UBND, dated06/9/2014of the Provincial People's Committee.

The relic of Trieu Co Tomb and Nguyen Viet Family Temple, including the tombs of Nguyen Viet Nhung and Nguyen Viet Phu (located in block 15, Cua Nam ward) and Nguyen Viet Family Temple (in block 6, Hong Son ward). According to documents and royal decrees of the Nguyen Dynasty, Nguyen Viet Nhung and Nguyen Viet Phu were two tutelary gods who had great contributions in establishing villages, recruiting people, and reclaiming the land of Vinh city today.

To commemorate the merits of Mr. Nguyen Viet Nhung and Mr. Nguyen Viet Phu, after their death, the people built temples and shrines to worship them, including Thinh Tien Temple (Truong Thi Ward); Truong Ta Temple (also known as Tien Canh Temple, Hung Binh Ward); Voi Mep Temple (Hung Dong Commune); Trung My Communal House (Vinh Tan Ward). And now, Mr. Nguyen Viet Nhung's name is given to a street in the new urban area Tecco Vinh Tan, Vinh City.
