How to apply for admission to Vinh University of Technical Education

(Baonghean) - In 2016, Vinh University of Technical Education will have many innovations in enrollment. Accordingly, 40% of enrollment quota will be based on the results of the National High School Exam with 4 groups of subjects for enrollment: Math, Physics, Chemistry; or Math, Physics, English; or Math, Literature, English or Math, Chemistry, Biology.

The remaining criteria are based on high school academic results. The new feature this year is that candidates can base on their academic scores in two ways:

+ Method 1: Academic score is the average score of 5 semesters (Semester 1, semester 2 grade 10; Semester 1, semester 2 grade 11; Semester 1 grade 12) according to the subject combination for admission.

+ Method 2: The academic score is the average score of grade 12 according to the subject combination for admission. Candidates can also add priority points to their academic score. Regional and subject priority points are based on the current regulations on regular university and college admission.

The school representative said: With the innovation in the form of admission based on academic scores (from 3 years of study to 1 year of study), the school creates favorable conditions for candidates who wish to study at the school. However, successful candidates must meet the threshold to ensure input quality according to the regulations in the current regulations on admission to full-time universities and colleges of the Ministry of Education and Training. Admission scores are from high to low until the quota is full. If candidates have the same average admission score, the candidate with a higher Math score will be given priority for admission.

In addition, candidates who are not admitted to the major they registered for will be considered for admission to other majors or training systems that the candidate registered for in the application.

As planned, in 2016, Vinh University of Technical Education will recruit in 5 rounds, starting from March 2, 2016 to the end of November 2016. Currently, Vinh University of Technical Education has 22 training majors in both regular university and college systems.
