Porsche Macan is coming to Vietnam with price from 2.69 billion VND

Expectedly in September 2014, the Porsche Macan model will be available in the Vietnamese market. This is Porsche's strategic vehicle line to penetrate the small SUV segment.

Currently, the official distributor in Vietnam, Prestige Sports Car Company Limited, has started accepting orders for this model.

The Porsche Macan comes in four trim levels, including the Macan 2.0L, Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo. All trims come with active all-wheel drive and an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch, along with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In particular, the Macan 2.0L version is equipped with a 2.0-liter I4 gasoline engine, maximum capacity of 237 horsepower. This car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds with a maximum speed of 223 km/h.

The S version uses a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 340 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds (or 5.2 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package).

The S Diesel version is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine with a maximum capacity of 258 horsepower. Although using diesel fuel, this car still has impressive acceleration, taking only 6.3 seconds to go from 0-100 km and a maximum speed of 230 km/h.

The most powerful version is the Macan Turbo, which uses a 3.6-liter V6 engine. This is the first Porsche car equipped with a twin turbocharger, thereby helping the Macan Turbo to have a maximum capacity of 400 horsepower, the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds (or 4.6 seconds when activating the sports package). The maximum speed that this car can reach is 266 km/h.

The Macan is equipped with the Burmester ® High-End Surround Sound System with 16 amplifier channels for a total output of more than 1,000 watts. The system comprises 16 speakers, including a 300-watt subwoofer with digital amplification.

The 2014 Macan will officially be available in the Vietnamese market next September with three versions. The Macan 2.0L has a retail price of VND2.69 billion, the Macan S is priced at VND3.2 billion and the Macan Turbo is priced at VND4.4 billion.
