Putin declares 'hypersonic weapons have been put into combat duty'
On June 28, at a meeting with outstanding graduates of military schools held at the Kremlin, Russian President Putin announced that new unique weapon systems will soon be put into combat duty in the country.
At the meeting with Russian President V. Putin, the Kremlin invited 400 excellent graduates and Gold Medalists from 18 military universities, as well as teachers and heads of military educational institutions.
Speaking to students, President V. Putin said: "Hypersonic weapons have been put on combat duty - the Avangard and Kinzal complexes. Other unique weapons systems are being deployed, including the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, the Zircon hypersonic anti-ship missile and the S-500 Prometheus air defense system. And other complexes."

The Russian leader also said that a new state armaments program with a planning roadmap until 2034 is being drawn up, taking into account promising developments of leading research groups, defense institutes and design bureaus. He stressed that “the implementation of the program will be aimed at further strengthening the country's defense potential.” Graduates of military schools will have to work on this technology.
At the same time, President V. Putin noted that the highest requirements are also placed on graduates of educational institutions of law enforcement agencies and security agencies. He added that they "will have to stand side by side with their comrades who ensure the rule of law and save people, participate in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, fight crime and corruption, terrorism, protect the country and its people from internal and external threats."
According to him, "significant, visible results in these and other important areas are a guarantee of people's trust and Russia's confident, progressive development." President Putin emphasized and expressed confidence that each soldier in his position will act professionally, decisively and firmly for the benefit of the Fatherland./.
