Putin declares he will never forget the day of Crimea's annexation
Russian President Vladimir Putin at a grand event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Russian federal electoral system said that the whole country, as well as Crimea, will never forget the day of the referendum on Crimea's annexation to Russia.

Speaking at the event, Elena Vovk, chairwoman of the Balaklava district election commission of Sevastopol city, said that the day of the referendum on the annexation of the Republic of Crimea to Russia was special for the region, and the people of Crimea will never forget it.

Crimea became a Russian territory after a referendum held in March 2014, in which 96.77% of voters in the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% of residents of Sevastopol supported joining the Russian Federation.
