In Hanoi, the Air Defense - Air Force Service organized an English training class for units assigned to receive, manage and exploit new weapons and equipment.
Carefully prepare human resources…

…the new weapons are from the West?
Vietnam's official purchase of the SIGMA 9814 missile frigate, with Damen Group (Netherlands) as the general contractor, along with many modern weapons from France and Italy, has marked a major step forward in accessing weapons supplies from the West.
Therefore, it can be seen that in the future, Vietnam will likely purchase new weapons in addition to the main source from Russia.
Organizing foreign language courses, especially English, is extremely necessary to meet the future development of our Army in general and the Navy or Air Defense - Air Force Service in particular.
This English course also aims to prepare for a new step of development, bringing the Air Defense - Air Force Service straight to modernity with many new weapons from both Russia and the West.
SPYDER air defense missile is coming?
The introduction of a number of modern long-range radar stations ELM-2288ER as well as many sources saying that Vietnam is interested in the SPYDER air defense missile system also produced by Israel shows that it is very likely that the Course is aimed at preparing human resources to receive this system.
In addition, many air defense missile units have made preparations in terms of both facilities and human resources to prepare for the task of receiving the new generation of extremely modern weapons. Specifically, according to the National Defense Magazine and Da Nang Newspaper: Missile Regiment 236 has proactively researched, surveyed, and arranged the battlefield according to the requirements of the new modern weapons and equipment that are about to be deployed, ensuring compliance with the general situation.
At the same time, the unit deployed in advance the construction of battlefields, completed combat plans at battalions, and ensured that when equipment was available, it would be put into use and ready to serve combat missions immediately.
The 257th Missile Regiment has proactively expanded its knowledge of electronic warfare, the technical and tactical features of new weapons and equipment, and encouraged self-study and research among its staff.
Missile Regiment 275 encourages officers and soldiers to continue to strive with concrete actions, building a "Revolutionary - Regular - Elite - Modern" unit focusing on key tasks: training to be ready for combat, approaching and mastering new weapons and equipment.
Although it cannot be confirmed that it is the modern SPYDER anti-aircraft missile system, it is certain that the new equipment will come from developed Western countries. Therefore, to train and exploit it proficiently, improving English proficiency is a mandatory requirement.
At the same time, this course shows that the Air Defense - Air Force Service has taken the right strategic step, preparing human resources early, so that newly arrived equipment can be put into training and combat duty immediately.
