Russian military claims to have intercepted dozens of UAVs attacking Crimea
(Baonghean.vn) - On July 18, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the country's military had foiled a plot to launch a series of drone attacks on key infrastructure in the eastern part of the Crimean peninsula.

The Russian military confirmed that dozens of drones were shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare on the night of July 17 and early morning of July 18.
In a quick statement issued on the morning of July 18, the Russian military said: “17 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems. Another 11 UAVs were suppressed by electronic warfare and crashed before reaching their targets.”
According to Crimea Governor Sergey Aksyonov, there were no casualties or losses on the ground after the recent attempted air raid.
The incident comes a day after a terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which killed two civilians and injured a child. Moscow accused Kiev of using two drones capable of operating above water to target the bridge, causing significant damage to part of it.
