Military Region 4 inspects combat readiness in Quy Chau and Que Phong
(Baonghean) -From September 28 to 30, the working delegation of the Military Region 4 Command led by Colonel Pham Hong Duong - Deputy Director of the Military Region's Political Department inspected the work of building safe, self-governing and combat-ready bases in Quy Chau and Que Phong districts.
Also attending were representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command.
At the working sessions, the Military Region's working delegation listened to the leaders of Quy Chau and Que Phong districts report in detail on the implementation of the 5 contents of building safe, self-governing communes and towns ready for combat in the first 9 months of 2011. After that, the working delegation inspected Dong Van and Que Son communes of Que Phong district, Chau Tien commune of Quy Chau district. Here, the delegation praised the achievements of the communes, and at the same time, hoped that the localities would continue to promote their strengths, overcome difficulties, and contribute together with the district to effectively build safe, self-governing communes and towns ready for combat in 2011.
In the past 9 months, the areas of Quy Chau and Que Phong districts have been basically stable, the economy has grown quite well, social culture has changed positively, national defense and security have always been maintained. The Steering Committees of the districts regularly and comprehensively implemented the 5 contents of building the grassroots communes, wards, and clusters of safety and mastery - ready to fight, the clusters have coordinated smoothly in resolving conflicts and complaints among the people, fighting against crimes and social evils, especially, coordinating with departments and localities in mobilizing forces to participate in security combat drills; defense areas and many other activities, contributing to building the grassroots communes, towns, and building an increasingly strong and comprehensive political system.
On behalf of the working delegation, Colonel Pham Hong Duong highly appreciated the work of building safe, self-sufficient and combat-ready bases of the districts, and noted that the immediate task of the localities is to do a good job of flood and storm prevention, minimizing damage to people and property caused by natural disasters.
