On January 3, the Quartermaster Department announced that, implementing the direction of Senior Lieutenant General Le Huu Duc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense on ensuring gift bags for non-commissioned officers and soldiers (NCOs, BSs) who completed their military service and were discharged in the first batch of 2015, the Quartermaster Department issued Instruction No. 1548/HD-QN regulating the above content.

Accordingly, the beneficiaries are HSQ and BS who have completed their military service and were discharged before the Lunar New Year of At Mui 2015. The standard for each person is a Tet gift bag, including: Cookies (1.0 kg); 0.5 kg of good quality candy; boxed jam (1 box of 500 grams); MSG (1 package of 450 grams); boxed tea (1 box); 1 bag with 1 Tet greeting card. The value of a Tet gift bag is 280,000 VND.

The guidelines clearly state that, based on the actual source of goods in the military stationed area, customs and practices of each region; organize the exploitation to create concentrated sources from the regimental, divisional level and above to ensure in kind in accordance with the prescribed regime for soldiers before boarding the vehicle to return home. The price of exploited goods when approved by the unit's price council must correspond to the quality, quantity, and type of approved goods, ensuring transparency and democracy. Along with that, the exploitation of goods at state-owned or military enterprises with prestige, brand names on the market and food hygiene and safety certificates, must not exploit handmade goods, unbranded goods...
