Attention to investment in teaching equipment in general schools

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, February 26, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An led by Comrade Pham Van Tan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province had a working session with the Provincial People's Committee on the management, use and preservation of educational equipment in general schools in the province. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, worked together.

Implementing Resolution No. 40/2000/QH-10, dated December 9, 2000 of the National Assembly and Directive No. 14/2001/CT-TTg, dated June 11, 2001 of the Prime Minister on innovation of general education programs, the Department of Education and Training has paid attention to directing schools to invest in purchasing and equipping teaching and learning equipment; considering this one of the factors to improve the quality of comprehensive education for students. And in practice, teaching equipment equipped in schools in the province has made an important contribution to innovation of teaching methods, training students in practical skills, creating interest in learning for students... However, equipment serving innovation of general education programs was mainly provided from 2001 to 2008, and many of them are now damaged. The school system in the city and the plains through socialization and local attention should be better than the schools in the mountains. Some facilities have not paid attention to arranging staff for library work, teaching equipment as well as resolving policies and regimes that do not really meet the requirements, ensuring balance between positions in the school.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong highly appreciated the selection of the content of the National Assembly Delegation of the province on teaching and learning equipment as extremely necessary. Based on the results of the supervision and recommendations of the Delegation, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also promised to continue to review, compile statistics, and inventory the entire system of schools in the province to have solutions to promptly correct and repair the current situation. Regarding the sectors, it is necessary to pay more attention and prioritize investment in this field to effectively combine learning with practice, contributing to improving the quality of education and training, meeting the requirements of learning with practice. He hopes that the Delegation will have appropriate recommendations for the National Assembly, the Government and the Central Ministries to pay more attention in the direction of introducing a national target program on teaching and learning equipment for schools.
