Concern for people's interests when merging farms
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 3, in Tan Long commune, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai -National Assembly delegates from constituency No. 2 met with voters in Tan Ky district. Also attending were representatives of the People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the district and leaders of Song Con Farm.
After listening to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai report on the proposed agenda at the 6th session of the 13th National Assembly, voters of Tan Long commune spoke about the merger of Song Con Farm with Song Con Sugarcane Company. According to the people, the Farm's assets have the contributions of generations of farm workers; the commune's land fund is managed by the Farm, so if the merger occurs, not only will the people lose their production land but the commune government will also lack tax and fee revenue. Some other opinions said that: whether the land is managed by the Farm or the commune, it must ensure full rights and create jobs for the workers and those who receive land bid from the Farm; recommend that competent authorities consider that if the Farm's management is ineffective, it should be transferred to the authorities of Tan Long and Tan Phu communes to receive and manage.
