(Baonghean) -On April 8, under the chairmanship of comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term XVII, held the 6th Conference to discuss and develop a number of resolutions and projects to implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.
At the conference, comrades in the Provincial Party Executive Committee spent a lot of time discussing and contributing to the socio-economic development project of the Western region of Nghe An province, period 2011 - 2015, with a view to 2020.
Decision 147 of the Government is an important decision for the Western Nghe An region, contributing to creating positive changes in the socio-economic, national defense - security and building the political system of the whole region. Delegates also said that the implementation of Decision 147 needs to continue to be studied and adjusted to have a more suitable project, ensuring progress and quality of implementation in the coming time. In particular, it is necessary to prioritize investment in infrastructure development, especially transportation. Focus on research on conditions, climate, soil to orient economic development suitable for the whole region, especially for the 3 highland districts: Que Phong, Ky Son, Tuong Duong.

Regarding the draft Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting the implementation of the New Rural Development Program by 2020, delegates affirmed: The national target program on new rural development is one of the important programs, a key task both in the short term and in the long term. The implementation of the new rural development program must be comprehensive, therefore, Party committees and authorities at all levels need to focus on implementing socio-economic, defense-security programs and projects and building the political system. Pay attention to promoting information and propaganda work to mobilize people to donate land, actively convert and accumulate land, create high consensus, mobilize total resources to implement the goals and targets of new rural development.
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Dinh Trac said: Sectors and districts need to coordinate research and supplement so that when the socio-economic development project of Western Nghe An is put into implementation, it will exploit and effectively use the inherent potential of the region, clearly identify which fields and sectors need to be encouraged; which fields and sectors need to be restricted in order to develop the Western Nghe An region quickly and sustainably.
Regarding the draft Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee on promoting the implementation of the New Rural Development Program by 2020, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: This is a Resolution to increase the leadership and direction of the Party Committee in implementing the national target program on new rural development in the whole province. Therefore, it is necessary to mobilize and integrate resources to focus on new rural development, in which the role of villages, hamlets, and all people should be promoted. In implementation, it is necessary to select leadership points; issue mechanisms and policies; periodically review and summarize the implementation of the construction. Strengthen the Steering Committee for new rural development at all levels with high capacity and responsibility to ensure effective and quality operations.
