Based on the recommendations of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the People's Committee of Quy Chau district has issued many documents directing and urging mineral enterprises in the area to comply with regulations on mineral exploration, exploitation and processing, and at the same time established inspection teams to crack down on illegal mining activities. The district has suspended the operations of 2 construction stone mining enterprises that have not corrected violations in the mining process in Chau Hanh commune, removed 13 workers with permanent residence outside the district who participated in illegal mining from the area; seized 5 Dong Phuong generators; 6 suction machines; 4 water pipe systems and dismantled many camps.

Along with that, the district has also focused on properly implementing the planning and managing the mineral planning approved by competent authorities. Currently, the district has 15 enterprises licensed to explore, exploit and process minerals. In general, these enterprises have basically fully implemented the documents, procedures and processes in exploitation that have been granted. However, illegal exploitation in remote, isolated and border areas with sophisticated measures has caused difficulties in detection and management. Compliance with legal regulations on environmental protection and labor safety of some enterprises is not complete. The implementation of mine opening, mine closure and site restoration after exploitation has not been carried out in accordance with regulations.

The land recovery from agricultural and forestry companies and the protection forest management board to the people has been carried out in two phases with a total area of 2,342 hectares. The entire area has been allocated to the people for management and protection. However, the land use rights have not been issued yet; the demarcation of the boundary between natural forests for protection and production forests for people to organize production has not been carried out, causing difficulties for people in organizing production and for the locality in management.

Based on the difficulties and problems that are arising, the monitoring delegation continues to record and make recommendations to the province for consideration, and at the same time recommends that the District People's Committee direct and improve the efficiency of management in the field of mineral activities, while creating conditions for people to have land and organize production, improving income on the assigned area.
