Focus on building cultural-information-sports institutions that meet national standards

(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, March 28, the Department of Culture and Society, Provincial People's Council, led by Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Head of the Department of Culture and Society, had a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on building cultural-information-sports institutions at the grassroots level.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the implementation of Decision No. 11/2009/QD-UBND of the province on the mechanism and policy for building cultural-information-sports (CST) institutions meeting national standards at the grassroots level, in the past, many localities have mobilized social resources to build facilities and means of operation, and grassroots cultural institutions have effectively promoted. However, there are still some limitations such as: The rate of communes and wards with CST institutions meeting national standards is still low, especially in mountainous areas, the regulation on building a 200m2 cultural house and a 3,000m2 sports field is no longer suitable for the grassroots level. The level of investment funding to support the construction of CST institutions in communes, wards and towns is still too low.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son noted: in the coming time, the industry needs to promote propaganda and mobilize people of all walks of life to better implement socialization work in building cultural - information and communication institutions, proactively advising the province to have investment policies and mechanisms to build and organize cultural and sports activities at the grassroots level.
