During the recent floods, the traffic system in the remote commune of Chau Ly (Quy Hop) was severely affected. Some roads were eroded, bridges were swept away, and trees were buried, blocking the flow of water. Immediately after the floodwaters temporarily receded, the locality proactively mobilized excavators and militia forces to clear the eroded roads, clear rocks and soil from affected households; and encouraged people to build temporary bridges, "rescue" buried bridges, and prevent people from being isolated for a long time after the flood.
