The teenage midfielder was introduced to United fans last season when he made his professional debut in the Champions League in a 1-1 draw against Young Boys in December. Iqbal was introduced in the 89th minute alongside fellow academy graduate Charlie Savage.

Iqbal, 19, was born in Manchester and played youth football for his mother's homeland, Iraq. He joined United at the age of nine and has the option to extend his contract for a further year.
