Entering the final match, both teams set the goal of winning because in theory, the chances were still there. Vietnam showed their superiority and desire to win by pushing up their formation and organizing a series of attacks. However, Yemen also showed their determination by playing close and fiercely. That limited Vietnam's ability to develop the ball, but also indirectly brought opportunities for Coach Park Hang-seo's students.
In the 38th minute, from a free kick to the right of Yemen's penalty area, Quang Hai made an excellent left-footed shot into the top corner, opening the score. In the second half, Phan Van Duc was fouled in the penalty area and from the penalty spot, Que Ngoc Hai fooled Yemen's goalkeeper, sealing a 2-0 victory for Vietnam.
When asked to share about the goal in this match, Quang Hai said: "I think that goal helped relieve the pressure for the whole team. I want to thank my teammates for fighting, so that I could have such an opportunity."

Despite the victory, Vietnam is unlikely to advance beyond the group stage. The team is currently third in the list of best third-placed teams with three points and a goal difference of -1. Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will only know their fate after the final match of Groups E and F on January 17.
Among them, the biggest competitors are Lebanon, Oman and Turkmenistan. "We don't know the result yet, but we fought with all our might. Tomorrow we will watch our opponents' matches. We are still waiting for a glimmer of hope," Quang Hai emphasized.
