Quang Ninh organizes Yen Tu forest opening festival
On the night of January 31 (the 9th day of the first lunar month), at Trinh-Yen Tu Pagoda, Phuong Dong Ward, Uong Bi City, the Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh Province held a ceremony to open Yen Tu forest, a traditional custom of local people worshiping heaven and earth to ask for permission to open the Yen Tu festival.
This is a mandatory ritual held by local people one day before the opening day of Yen Tu festival. The ceremony aims to report to heaven and earth, pay respect to Buddha, report to the mountain god for permission and pray for a peaceful and successful festival season.

Trinh-Yen Tu Pagoda is an ancient and famous temple, guarding the gateway to the famous Yen Tu mountain, the capital of Dai Viet Buddhism. Over the years, the pagoda has remained a place to preserve and radiate the spirit of Truc Lam-Zen Buddhism.
Immediately after the drum performance, monks, nuns, Buddhists and thousands of local people and tourists burned incense and prayed for a new year and a new festival season of peace and happiness./.
