(Baonghean) -Every May, every village in Yen Thanh district resounds with the singing and practicing of art troupes preparing to participate in the Sen Village Singing Festival.
This year, all communes in Yen Thanh district organized cultural village art festivals to celebrate the Sen Village Festival, with the participation of 243 villages and 53 cultural units, from which 41 teams were selected to participate in the district-level Sen Village Singing Festival, held from April 27 to 29. There were units such as Le Hong Phong hamlet (Bac Thanh commune), "hamlet-level" non-professional actors who boldly staged the play "His Words - the Words of the Country", excellently portraying the image of President Ho Chi Minh, moving the audience.

Through the contest, the district's Department of Culture and Information selected 25 outstanding artists to form a team to participate in the provincial Sen Village Singing Festival. An honor for the rice-field art team was to be selected with Vinh City to perform the opening ceremony of the province-wide Sen Village Singing Festival.
Comrade Dang Duy Hung - Director of Yen Thanh District Culture and Sports Center said: Participating in the Sen Village Singing Festival is an opportunity for people from the rice fields to express their feelings through songs and voices dedicated to Uncle Ho. Being chosen as the performing unit at the opening ceremony is an honor, so we have focused on the human resources of the Department of Culture and Sports and invited artist Minh Thong to practice for the team from May 8 to 21.

Before participating in the province-wide performance, the Yen Thanh district art troupe had a performance at the district Cultural House to celebrate the election day and serve the people of the district on the evening of May 21. District leaders and thousands of spectators came to watch and cheer for the team.
