Que Phong finds solutions to develop passion fruit trees

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of August 31, the Standing Committee of Que Phong district held a meeting to discuss solutions for developing passion fruit trees in Que Phong district in the period of 2015 - 2020.

Implementing Resolution 08 of the Standing Committee of Que Phong District Party Committee on passion fruit development, Que Phong district has focused on propaganda to raise people's awareness of the meaning and importance of restructuring to passion fruit cultivation; implementing solutions to gradually expand the area of ​​passion fruit cultivation.

In 3 years (2013 - 2015), the whole district has planted 123.5 hectares, of which 114.5 hectares have been harvested with a total estimated output of 1,368 tons. Of which, Napaga Agricultural Development Joint Stock Company created jobs for 86 Que Phong engineers with an average income per capita of 6 million VND, solving seasonal jobs for 70 local people. However, those results still only reached 18.37% of the plan.

Overview of the work.

At the meeting, the comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee focused on analyzing the reasons for the failure to implement Resolution 08-NQ/HU. Although propaganda work has been strengthened, there has not been a strong participation of the Party Committee and local authorities; the implementation of the plan is not really specific; compensation and site clearance to create land for Panaga Company to lease is still slow, and people still have the mindset of waiting and relying on state investment.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Lu Dinh Thi - Secretary of the District Party Committee assigned tasks to relevant departments to resolve issues related to integrating capital sources to implement support policies for passion fruit development, resolving difficulties in land as well as support policies. In the coming time, the district will continue to create open mechanisms and policies for Panaga Company to be the mainstay for investment and development of passion fruit; build open mechanisms for individuals in the area to rent land to grow passion fruit; launch a movement for the whole population to grow in home gardens, convert low-efficiency rice fields to grow passion fruit... Strive to complete the Resolution, contributing to improving people's lives./.
