Que Phong organizes the "long tong" festival

According to the customs of the Thai people, after the Lunar New Year, farmers bring rice wine, rice noodles, boiled chicken, sticky rice, bamboo rice… to the fields to pray for luck and fortune to the local gods, to bless the farmers with favorable weather and bountiful harvests. From then on, it marks the first production day of a new year, a year full of promise in the harvest…
That festival is called “long tong” festival, in the Black Thai (Thanh) language it is called “long tong”. Nowadays, due to the development of economic conditions and the application of science and technology in production, the “long tong” festival is organized at a higher level, with more enthusiasm, becoming a joyful festival for ethnic people, boys and girls meet each other to produce and exchange culture, blending in the working atmosphere with songs, singing, Xuoi, Xao, Lam… highly organized labor. After the festival, people spontaneously form groups (borrowed work) and take turns helping each other at each house until they finish planting, weeding and harvesting.
