US Congress upset with FBI's decision in Clinton email case

US House Speaker Paul Ryan criticized the FBI's decision not to prosecute former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the leak of official emails.

The FBI has concluded there is no basis to prosecute Clinton criminally in the email case.

Previously, FBI Director James Comey said that during the investigation of Mrs. Clinton's "email affair", the FBI found no basis to prosecute her criminally.

At the same time, Mr. Comey acknowledged that it was possible that hackers had accessed some of Mrs. Clinton's correspondence and asserted that the "security culture" at the State Department at that time was "generally inadequate."

"I respect the professionals at the FBI, but this statement is inexplicable," Mr. Ryan wrote on Twitter. According to the US House of Representatives spokesman, the FBI director's statement only undermines the law.
