The National Assembly discussed the socio-economic development situation and the State budget.
On May 29, continuing the 7th Session Program, the 15th National Assembly held discussions at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House.

Comrade Tran Thanh Man - Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly chaired the discussion session. Comrade Nguyen Duc Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly chaired the discussion session.
According to the program, the National Assembly will spend 1 day discussing in the hall about 3 contents: Additional assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in the first months of 2024.

Results of implementing national goals on gender equality in 2023. Practice of thrift and anti-waste in 2023.
The discussion focused on solutions to stabilize the macro economy, major economic balances, control inflation, exchange rates and essential goods to stabilize people's lives and production and business, striving to complete the annual growth target.

Solutions to improve the money, bond, real estate, and securities markets, restore production, business, and enterprise operations, create jobs, reduce unemployment, and remove current bottlenecks; increase labor productivity, restructure credit institutions associated with bad debt, equitize, divest state capital from enterprises, reduce lending interest rates, and increase the economy's ability to absorb capital.
Overcoming limitations in the allocation and disbursement of public investment capital, management and operation of State budget revenue and expenditure, ensuring budget balance and national budget financial security; overcoming limitations and inadequacies in the economy, society and State budget mentioned in Government reports; inspection reports and opinions of voters and people reflected to National Assembly deputies and the National Assembly.

Regarding the results of implementing national goals on gender equality and thrift practice and waste prevention in 2023, National Assembly deputies gave their opinions on the results achieved, shortcomings, limitations, causes and solutions to implement gender equality goals and promote thrift practice and waste prevention.
The Presidium will invite ministers and heads of sectors to clarify issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
