The National Assembly passed the Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended), Resolution on approval of state budget settlement
On June 24, the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly entered its 23rd working day, opening the last working week of the session. Comrade Tran Thanh Man - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly chaired.

The National Assembly voted to pass the Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended) with 459/464 total National Assembly deputies participating in the vote in favor, reaching 94.25% on the morning of June 24.
The Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended) consists of 9 chapters and 152 articles, stipulating: position, functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of People's Courts; Judges, Jurors and other positions in People's Courts; and ensuring the operation of People's Courts.

The organization of the People's Court includes: the Supreme People's Court; the High People's Court; the People's Court of provinces and centrally run cities; the People's Court of districts, towns, provincial cities, and centrally run cities; the Specialized Administrative First Instance People's Court, the Specialized Intellectual Property First Instance People's Court, the Specialized Bankruptcy People's Court; the Central Military Court, the Military Court of military zones and equivalent, and the Regional Military Court. The Law also stipulates that the Court conducts trials in person or online.
Also this morning, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended).
During the discussion, 24 opinions were expressed, with the majority expressing high consensus on the necessity of amending the law; at the same time, analyzing and deeply evaluating the practical situation, the existing problems, difficulties and proposing solutions to revise and perfect many contents and provisions of the draft law in terms of structure, concepts, terminology, content, style and legislative techniques. Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

On the same afternoon, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on approving the 2022 state budget settlement with 459/460 total National Assembly deputies participating in the vote in favor, reaching 94.46%.
Next, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Law on Value Added Tax (amended). National Assembly deputies agreed on the necessity of amending the Law on Value Added Tax to overcome the shortcomings and limitations of the current law, institutionalizing the Party's policy on amending and supplementing laws on taxes and fees according to market principles, in line with international practices, associated with restructuring revenue sources, expanding the tax base, improving the efficiency of tax administration and applying reasonable tax rates.
Delegates also suggested that it is necessary to conduct thorough research to complete the draft Law, review the name so that the draft Law closely follows the goals set out in the Party's Resolutions, the Tax System Reform Strategy, the roadmap towards applying a single tax rate, the practical and specific feasibility of the provisions stipulated in the draft Law, the contents assigned to the Government and ministries for regulation, the suitability and compatibility of the draft Law with relevant laws.

The National Assembly deputies also gave many opinions on groups of goods and services subject to tax, non-taxable objects, objects subject to 0% tax rate, taxpayers, tax calculation prices, time of determining value added tax, tax rates, sales revenue of goods and services not subject to value added tax, declaration of input value added tax deduction, regulations on tax refunds and implementation provisions. Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
