Quy Chau: Memorial service for martyr Nguyen Trung Giap

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 16, in Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau), Vientiane Minerals and Metallurgy Company (Laos) under the Economic Cooperation Corporation of Military Region 4, the Provincial Military Command, the District Military Command, and Quy Chau district held a memorial service for martyr Nguyen Trung Giap.

Martyr Nguyen Trung Giap (born in 1984), enlisted in December 2007 at the Vientiane Mineral and Metallurgy Company (Laos) under the Economic Cooperation Corporation of Military Region 4, was a construction worker and interpreter. On April 8, 2012, comrade Nguyen Trung Giap was assigned to patrol and guard duty and fell from the 2nd floor. Despite being treated by doctors and nurses from Hospital 101 (Laos) and Military Hospital IV, due to severe injuries, he died at Military Hospital 4 at 1:40 p.m. on April 10, 2012. His body was buried in Chau Binh Commune Cemetery.

In recognition of the contributions of comrade Nguyen Trung Giap and the implementation of the policy for people with meritorious services to the country, on March 29, 2013, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 531 to award the Certificate of Merit and recognition of Martyr to comrade Nguyen Trung Giap.
