New regulations on secondary school teacher salaries

According to the new regulations in Joint Circular 22/2015/TTLT - BGDĐT - BNV of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the salary of public secondary school teachers is calculated according to 3 ranks.

The Circular clearly stipulates that junior high school teachers are classified into 3 grades: Grade I, II and III. Junior high school teachers grade I - Code V.07.04.10 must meet the following standards on training and development: Have a university degree in pedagogy or higher or a university degree in a major appropriate to the subject taught and have a certificate of pedagogical training for junior high school teachers; have a foreign language level 3 as prescribed; have a level 1 IT proficiency standard, and have a certificate of training for junior high school teachers grade I.

A Grade II junior high school teacher - Code V.07.04.11 must have the following standards for training and development: Have a university degree in pedagogy or higher or a university degree in a major appropriate to the subject taught and have a certificate of pedagogical training for junior high school teachers; have a foreign language level 2 as prescribed; have a level of information technology that meets the standards of basic information technology skills, and have a certificate of training for Grade II junior high school teachers.

A Grade III junior high school teacher - Code V.07.04.12 must have the following standards for training and development: Have a college degree in pedagogy or higher or a college degree in a major appropriate to the subject taught and have a certificate of pedagogical training for junior high school teachers; have a foreign language level 1 as prescribed; have a computer proficiency level that meets the standards of basic information technology skills.

The salary classification of junior high school teachers is also divided into the above 3 levels. Accordingly, the professional title of junior high school teacher grade I is applied with the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A2, group A2.2 (from salary coefficient 4.0 to salary coefficient 6.38).

The professional title of junior high school teacher grade II is applied with the salary coefficient of type A1 civil servant, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98.

The professional title of junior high school teacher grade III is applied with the salary coefficient of civil servants type A0, from salary coefficient 2.10 to salary coefficient 4.89.

This regulation takes effect from November 3, 2015.
