A copy of the exam result certificate may be submitted.
According to regulations, this year each candidate is given 3 certificates of exam results with red stamps from the schools to bring to the admission process. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates who register for schools that enroll students through the general exam can submit the original certificate of results or a valid copy according to the regulations of each school. Candidates' application documents and exam registration fees, whether submitted by express mail, priority delivery service or directly at the school within the prescribed time limit, are valid and have the same admission value. Candidates have the right to withdraw their submitted application documents if they wish, and the fees will be considered and decided by the principals of the schools.
This year's admission deadline has changed, starting from August 20, 2014, ending October 31 for universities and November 15, 2014 for colleges.
You must register for admission as soon as you register for the exam.
Candidates applying to schools that organize their own admissions must supplement their application documents and follow the registration time as prescribed in the school's autonomous admissions plan. However, the Ministry of Education and Training notes that candidates who want to be admitted must declare it in their application form. Candidates who wish to study at universities and colleges that organize their own admissions and have entrance exams according to common exam questions, after declaring item 2 in the application form, must tick the corresponding box in the last line of item 2.
Candidates who wish to study at universities and colleges that organize separate admissions and do not organize exams according to common exam questions, if they wish to use the results of the common exam for admission, after filling in section 2 (without writing the code of the major or major), need to tick the box "Participate in the common exam of the Ministry" and fully fill in section 3 (name of the school they wish to study at, school code, exam block and code of the major).
If you wish to be admitted according to a separate admission plan, you need to tick the box "Participate in the school's separate admission plan" and fill out item 3 completely. If you have both wishes, after filling out item 2 in the form (without writing the major code or major), you need to tick both boxes and fill out item 3 completely.
Many shortcomings in the book What You Need to Know
Things to know about university and college admissions in 2014, just published by the Vietnam Education Publishing House (Ministry of Education and Training), has many errors in information about school admissions.
On pages 12 and 13, the list of universities and colleges that do not organize exams according to the common exam includes the name of International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University), while the school still organizes exams according to the "3 common" exam. Saigon College of Culture, Arts and Tourism conducts exams according to a separate admission plan approved by the Ministry. The school conducts exams in 2 rounds, of which the first round is from March 17 to August 9 with 3 forms, including: "3 common" entrance exam, admission based on high school results and admission based on university and college entrance exam results. However, this book lacks information about admission based on high school results and university and college entrance exam results. In the second round, the school enrolls students from August 25 to November 7, not from November to December as the book has published.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry has a new major in environmental science (80 students for groups A and B) but it has not been updated in this book. Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking recruits 2,850 students for regular university and transfer programs (200 transfer programs), but this book records the total university admission target (including transfer programs) as 2,750 (100 transfer programs). This book records the general admission score for all majors according to the registered exam group (except for the English language major which is considered according to its own standard score). Actually, the school has 2 majors with separate standard scores: English language and economic law, the remaining majors at university level will have a general admission score according to the registered exam group.
Tan Chau district (An Giang) has become Tan Chau town since 2009, but this document still lists Tan Chau district. The same goes for Cai Lay district (Tien Giang), Nga Nam district (Soc Trang). Chau Doc town (An Giang), Tay Ninh town (Tay Ninh) have become cities but the document is still not updated.
