Regulations on the age of members of the State Council of Professors

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced a draft circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on organization and operation of the State Council of Professors, the Councils of Professors of sectors, interdisciplinary and grassroots Councils of Professors of institutions.

Accordingly, the age of a member of the State Council of Professors at the time of appointment is not more than 70. The age of a member of the Council of Professors at the time of appointment for members with the title of associate professor is not more than 67, for members with the title of professor is not more than 70.

In special cases, the Chairman of the Council of Professor Titles of the industry considers and appoints a number of over-age members but not more than 1/3 of the total number of members of the Council of Professor Titles of the industry and institution.
