Quy Hop: Completed the goal of bringing national grid electricity to 100% of hamlets and villages

(Baonghean.vn) - The acceptance ceremony of powering up two hamlets of Bai Ke (Dong Hop) and Hop Thanh (Tam Hop) officially helped Quy Hop district complete the goal of bringing national grid electricity to 100% of hamlets and villages.

The acceptance ceremony for the power connection took place at 7:00 p.m. on December 29 in the two hamlets mentioned above amid the joy and happiness of the people. Ms. Luyen Thi Nguyet, a resident of Bai Ke hamlet, said, "My family has been here for the third generation, but it was only now that we had electricity and learned about electric light."

Bai Ke Power Station was invested in construction with a capacity of 180 KVA, with a total value of more than 10 billion VND, of which 60% comes from the central budget, the rest comes from the provincial and local budgets.

Bai Ke and Hop Thanh hamlets have 139 households with 515 people, mainly people from Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen and Quynh Luu who came here following the policy of building a mountainous economic zone in 1963. These are two particularly difficult hamlets belonging to category 135, the poverty rate is still very high compared to the general level of the district. Therefore, having national grid electricity will contribute significantly to improving the intellectual level of the people, creating conditions for socio-economic development, and stabilizing national security and defense in the two hamlets.
