Choong Temple in Chau Ly Commune is a sacred temple, located on Pu Den Mountain in the center of Muong Choong, Chau Ly Commune, Quy Hop District, Nghe An Province.
Nang Phom Hom Temple (Fragrant Hair Girl) - A Thai ethnic girl who was in charge of gathering food to feed the army during the Lam Son uprising (1418-1427). Nang Phom Hom is a beautiful symbol of the virtues, beauty, speech and conduct of a Thai ethnic girl, a symbol of the crystallization of the brotherhood of the Thai and Kinh ethnic groups. The temple was built nearly 600 years ago. After many historical ups and downs, the temple now only remains in ruins.
Faced with the above situation, with the consent of the Party Committee, the Quy Hop district government coordinated with the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to start the restoration and embellishment of Choong Temple using capital mainly contributed by enterprises in Quy Hop area.
Specifically, Phu Quy Stone and Mineral Joint Stock Company donated 200 million VND, Cuong Thinh Company 200 million VND, Tan Hoang Khang Company 100 million VND, Duyen Hoang Company 200 million VND... Total about over 1 billion VND, in the immediate future, phase I will start construction of the upper temple and will mobilize capital from businesses and people to complete the construction.
