Quy Hop: Establishment of Citizen Reception Committee

The Citizen Reception Committee of Quy Hop district was established under Decision No. 250/QD-UBND dated January 20, 2015 of the People's Committee of Quy Hop district, consisting of 11 members. The Citizen Reception Committee of the district has the function of advising the District Party Committee, the District People's Council and the District People's Committee to organize citizen reception to receive complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections from citizens and organizations; is the focal agency to receive, classify and propose the handling of complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections according to the procedures of the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations and the Law on Citizen Reception; monitor and urge the progress of settlement of agencies and units, report the settlement results to the district leaders and competent authorities of the district.
During its operation from January to April 2015, the Citizen Reception Committee of Quy Hop district received citizens regularly 30 times, periodically received citizens 9 times, issued notices of citizen reception in February, March, and April; forwarded petitions and letters to agencies, departments, and communes 10 times, and verified the actual cases 2 times. Some complicated and prolonged cases were resolved by the district People's Committee at all levels.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh requested the District Citizen Reception Committee to properly perform its functions and tasks according to regulations; improve its sense of responsibility, working methods, capacity and skills in receiving citizens; perform well its advisory role to the District People's Committee in monitoring, urging and inspecting the reception and handling of citizens' complaints and denunciations. At the same time, propose a plan to help the District People's Committee resolve them promptly and thoroughly, not letting them linger, prolong, causing frustration among citizens.
