Reply:According to international legal perspective, sovereignty is the exclusive right of a state to be exercised within the exclusive economic zone and continental shelf. This is a right originating from territorial sovereignty, of a sovereign nature. Meanwhile, jurisdiction is a consequence of sovereignty and sovereign rights, with a complementary effect of creating an environment for the exercise of sovereignty and sovereign rights. Thus, jurisdiction is closely linked to national territory. However, jurisdiction can also be exercised in places where that state does not have sovereignty. For example, jurisdiction can be applied to ships and means of transport flying the flag of that state when they are operating in the waters under the sovereignty and sovereign rights of another state. Jurisdiction in a broad sense includes:

- Authority to make decisions and regulations;

- Authority to supervise implementation;

- The court's jurisdiction over a particular area; in a narrow sense, it is the court's legal authority to try a person or a matter.
