(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 26, Hung Nguyen District Party Committee officially held the 28th Congress of Delegates, term 2015 - 2020.

During the past term, despite many difficulties, with the spirit of solidarity, creativity and proactiveness, the Party Committee and people of Hung Nguyen have strived to overcome all difficulties and challenges, achieving important results in the fields of socio-economics, national defense and security, Party building and political system building.

The economy continued to grow at an average rate of 9.48%, higher than the average of the province. The total development investment capital for 2011-2015 is estimated at 5,006.3 billion VND (1.67 times higher than the period 2006-2010), equal to 89%. The average added value per capita in 2015 is estimated at 24.3 million VND, an increase of 2.06 times compared to the beginning of the term. The value of commercial services in 2015 is estimated at 856.1 billion VND, an increase of 1.57 times compared to 2010, with an average growth rate of 9.48%.

The work of protecting and taking care of people's health is ensured, disease prevention activities are strengthened, promptly preventing diseases from arising, no major epidemics have occurred in the district. The work of protecting and taking care of people's health, preventing child malnutrition has achieved good results (the rate of child malnutrition decreased from 20% in 2010 to 13.3% in 2015). Annually, the average number of jobs created is 2,834 people (of which 1,111 people are exported), 1.2 times higher than the previous term, the rate of trained workers increased from 40% in 2010 to 55% in 2015 (target 60%).

Regarding Party building work, up to now, the whole district has 59 grassroots party organizations under its management, with an average of over 67% being classified as clean and strong each year, admitting 647 new party members; of which: the proportion of women accounts for 61%. Attention has been paid to training and fostering the contingent of cadres and party members, the district has opened 234 classes with 25,916 participants.

The Congress focused on discussing and unifying the goals and solutions to implement the general goals of the Party Committee in the 2015-2020 term, accordingly, continuing to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party, mobilizing all social resources, focusing on implementing the district's key programs associated with the new rural construction program, ensuring national defense - security and social order and safety, building a strong and comprehensive Party, Government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations, creating a solid premise to soon turn Hung Nguyen into a fairly good district of the province and a district meeting new rural standards.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Hung Nguyen District Party Committee in the past term. At the same time, he emphasized that in the coming time, it is necessary to focus all resources, strive to make Hung Nguyen a fairly good district of the province, with an average income per capita in the top of the province, the district meets the new rural standards before 2020, continue to maintain the title of a continuously strong district Party Committee, strive to achieve the title of exemplary strong.

To achieve these goals, Hung Nguyen needs to focus on doing well the work of planning, planning management and land management, promoting investment attraction, especially successfully attracting VSIP 6 Industrial Park to the district, applying scientific and technological advances to clean agricultural production, exploiting and developing service, trade and tourism sectors, linking economic growth with socio-cultural development.
