Quynh Ba: Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the commune's establishment (June 8, 1954 - June 8, 2014)

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 8, the People's Committee of Quynh Ba commune (Quynh Luu district) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the commune's founding (June 8, 1954 - June 8, 2014).

Overview of the ceremony

June 8, 1954, Quynh Ba commune was separated from Lien Hoa commune. Located in the center of the southeastern plain of Quynh Luu district, after separation, Quynh Ba belonged to the poor and disadvantaged commune of the district... During the two resistance wars against France and the US, Quynh Ba had thousands of children participating in the fight and serving in the fight. At the end of the war, the whole commune had 122 martyrs, 112 wounded soldiers, 47 sick soldiers, and 2 mothers were awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother.

During the renovation period, Quynh Ba quickly seized the opportunity, proactively innovated in labor and production, and boldly invested in building infrastructure. Thanks to that, it is one of the leading communes in the district in livestock models, construction of electricity works, rural roads, high-rise schools, and standard medical stations. The clean water system, environmental sanitation, communal and village cultural houses, and playgrounds ensure the spiritual needs of the people.

Over 60 years of construction and development, the Party Committee, government and people of Quynh Ba have promoted the revolutionary tradition, creative spirit, self-reliance and self-improvement, and at the same time had the right policies to bring the commune to comprehensive development in all fields. Notably, in 2013, the total production value reached 101.4% of the plan, an increase of 13.1% compared to 2012; average income per capita was 19.2 million VND/year, achieving 15/19 criteria for implementing the national target of building new rural areas. Nearly 80% of households achieved the title of cultural family, 5/8 hamlets achieved the title of cultural village. The quality of education continued to be maintained, with the junior high school graduation rate reaching 95.2%. National defense and security were consolidated and maintained.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Quy - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee praised the achievements that the Party Committee and people of Quynh Ba commune have achieved in the past 60 years. He requested the Party Committee, government and people of Quynh Ba commune to continue to promote the quintessence, intelligence, promote the tradition of solidarity, and join hands to successfully carry out the tasks of economy - society - security - national defense in the locality.

On this occasion, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee presented Quynh Ba commune with a banner bearing the words "Congratulations to the cadres and people of Quynh Ba commune on 60 years of solidarity, construction and development."./.
