(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of August 10, the Quynh Doi Commune Association for the Promotion of Education coordinated with the Board of Directors of Ho Tung Mau Secondary School to organize a "piggy bank" festival to promote learning and talent.
The movement of “raising piggy banks” to encourage learning is organized by the Quynh Doi Commune Education Promotion Association in coordination with the school, Women’s Union, Farmers’ Union, and Parents’ Union to regularly remind and check students’ implementation. From saving money to raise pigs with their own money such as saving money for snacks, lucky money, monthly bonuses for excellent students from parents, etc., every year in mid-August, preparing to enter the new school year, the piggy bank slaughtering festival takes place again.
Gift giving ceremony for 16 poor students overcoming difficulties at the ceremony
The total number of children raising pigs in the whole commune is up to more than 1,000, with the amount of money saved on the day of pig slaughtering reaching nearly 100 million VND; of the total number of pigs slaughtered, the largest piggy bank is over 3 million VND, the smallest pig is 500 thousand VND.
